The Ugee M708 Graphics Drawing Tablet from Ugee, an Asian manufacturer, took me by surprise by how much it provides you for its price, it offers 2048 level of pressure sensitivity, makes it on-par with the Intuos 5 and the Intuos pro from Wacom. Has a medium-sized working area and 8 customizable buttons, all for the price of a small tablet. One would be skeptical of the quality that could be provided at such price, but it is a surprisingly a very good deal.

The graphics tablet itself, working Area & the customisable buttons.

The M708 Tablet is available in black & white

The Ugee M708 Tablet looks very elegant, thin and slick, making it fun to work with, and I believe it will looks fairly nice on your desk.

The active working area for the Ugee M708 Tablet is 10 x 6 Inches, which makes it suitable for most users and monitors sizes. But if you have a very large screen, you may want to take a look for a larger tablet, depending on your needs.

Th Ugee M708 Tablet has 8 customizable button, can be programmed using the accompanying software to any many of the operations you do with graphics software, like copying and pasting, selecting the canvas, or switching between the different tools like the brush, pen, and the lasso tools.

The pen that comes with the Ugee M708 Tablet

The M708 Table Pen

The pen that comes with this tablet is very slick, and it looks very similar to the one that comes with Wacom tablet. In addition to the 8 customisable buttons on the tablet itself. The pen itself has two customisable buttons, which you could customize to do things like Undo & Redo or to switch to eraser mode, The tablet comes with a pen holder, which is a nice way to place the pen on the office, the pen holder comes with 8 replacement tips insides of it. Which saves you the trouble from buying tips along with the tablet itself.

Since the tablet is an electromagnetic one, the Pen requires an AAA battery to work, while I expect the battery to work for a good amount of time without the need to be replaced, it is still considered better if it wasn't needed.

While the 2048 level of pressure sensitivity is surely impressive, the pen has no tilt sensitivity at all, while many artists don't use features like that, this can be a deal breaker for many people who would want this feature.

A word about Ugee's website

Ugree

One of the complaints I saw one this tablet is how the support website of this tablet is not in English, but this problem seems to have been solved, as of the time I am writing this review, I visited Ugee website and it was all in English, and I was easily able to find the drivers section in the website by clicking on the Download link at the top of the page. This is a good but possibly late move by Ugee, considering that many of their tablets are sold in English-speaking countries these days.

USB Cable

The Ugee M708 Tablet comes with 150 CM cable, which is very sufficient whatever you are using a laptop or a desktop computer that is below your desk. This is worth mentioning since some tablets like the Intuos Pen Tablet form Wacom(reviewed here) comes with a very short cable.

Pros of the Ugee M708 Graphics Tablet

  • 8 customizable buttons, which is great for a tablet with this price range.
  • Designed to be used by both right-handed and left-handed people.
  • Great price for the features and abilities it provides.

  • Considered very cheap for a medium-sized tablet
  • And one more thing, the tablet is very thin & elegant, which makes it pleasant to work with, assuming everything else worked well for you.

Cons of Ugee M708 Graphics Tablet

  • The pen requires AAA battery to work, so I advice you to get rechargeable AAA batteries so you won't have to buy new batteries every now and then.
  • It scratch easily compared to other tables, so it is advisable you keep the plastic that comes on its surface when you unpackage it.
  • The pen that comes with Ugee M708 has no tilt sensitivity, which may not be bad in case you don't need it
  • The instructions are kind of hidden in the packaging box of the tablet, which tells why many people complained that it comes with no intrusions.
  • You may encounter some driver issues with this one, so it is advisable that you download the latest driver from Ugee's Website and uninstall any old Ugee driver you are not going to use.
  • The pen doesn't have an eraser.
